Free Large-Item Drop-Off for O’Fallon Residents

O’Fallon residents are invited to take advantage of the City’s free quarterly drop-off service for many items that are too large to fit into curbside trash containers. Acceptable items can be brought to O’Fallon’s waste transfer station from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday, February 18. The transfer station address is 1572 Progress West Lane, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.

Come to Fort Zumwalt Park in O’Fallon and join in counting the birds and related activities for O’Fallon’s Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC). The park is located at 1000 Jessup Drive, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.

O'Fallon Residents - Need To Make Home Repairs?



With 10 spots available in its home improvement program, the City of O’Fallon is encouraging City homeowners to find out if they qualify for help with home repairs. The City has forgivable five-year loans of up to $5,000 available for help in addressing code violations (such as an unsafe stairway) and home maintenance and repair.

Paper Snowflake Event at O’Fallon’s Heald Home

To see an exhibit of intricate, cut-paper snowflakes, visit the historic Heald Home from 1 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, and watch artist Marion Nichols – aka the Snowflake Lady – demonstrate how she creates the original snowflakes for which she is known. Nichols also will sign and sell copies of her snowflake books. The cost for this hands-on demonstration and exhibit includes a tour of the house. Admission is $2 per person at the door.

O’Fallon’s Citizens Police Academy starts March 15

For a dynamic course in police operations, enroll in the O’Fallon Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy. Beginning March 15, the six-week class will meet from 6:45-9:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The final class will be held on April 25.Enrollment is generally open to area residents who are at least 18, and to 17-year-old graduating high school students. Cost for the course is $30.

O’Fallon Photo Club’s Annual Exhibit Opening

The public is invited to view the O’Fallon Photo Club’s 2012 exhibit, which will open on Friday, January 6, and continue through February 17, in the O’Fallon Cultural Arts Gallery at the Spirit Center (RSC), 2650 Tri Sports Circle, O’Fallon, Missouri 63368.

The exhibit showcases the best of recent work in color and black-and-white images by the club’s membership, which includes professional and non-professional photographers.
