Learn to Speak Conversational Spanish at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center (9-20)

 

If you have always wanted to learn Spanish, Conversational Spanish 101 at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center is the perfect class for you.  This informative eight-week class will be held on Thursdays, beginning Sept. 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Parents and Children Can Celebrate Fall with a Fun Music Class (9-28)

Parents, celebrate the beautiful autumn season with your child, age 18 months-5 years, at a fun music class taught by Laurie Strickland at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center. At this Music for Me class called Fun for Fall, your kids will sing about apples, pumpkins and falling leaves and children will experience the wonderful season of autumn and its special holidays with fun music.

Die Laughing Theater Presents New Show at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center, “They Call Me Mr. Bunker” (9-10)

Join Delia Schindler and the Die Laughing Theater for a new dinner theater show, “They Call Me Mr. Bunker,” where actors bring back the hilarious couple Edith and Archie Bunker. The show will take place on Friday, Sept. 10 at the St. Peters Community & Arts Center. 

Parents, Learn to Introduce Art in Your Home at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center (9-20)

If you are a parent interested in discovering when and how to introduce your children to art in your home, the St. Peters Community & Arts Center has a great hands-on class for you. Whether you have one child or ten, young children or teens—Teaching Art in the Home is a valuable class for all. This informative eight-week class will be held on Thursdays, beginning Sept. 23 from 6-7 p.m.

Learn Conversational French at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center (9-20)

If you’ve always wanted to learn “the language of love,” Conversational French 101 at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center is the perfect class for beginners. You’ll join the 100 million French-speaking people around the world after learning the language basics through this exciting and instructive class. This eight-week class will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 21 through Nov. 9.

Learn Color Systems for Successful Painting at St. Peters Community & Arts Center ( 9-10 )

Artist/Instructor Jerry Thomas will teach artists the color systems necessary to be a successful painter at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center.  Jerry will assist painters in discovering colors that contribute to the overall beauty of paintings.

Kids Can Learn to Paint Outside at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center ( 9-4 )

Kids love the outdoors and using their imagination; so let them put their creative minds to work at St. Peters FREE “Plein Air Painting for Kids” event. “Plein Air” means to paint outside or in the open air. Children ages 5-12 are invited to come to the St. Peters Community & Arts Center on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 9-11 a.m.

St. Peters' Community & Arts Center to Offer Genealogy Workshop (9-7)

  Discovering the branches of your family tree can be a fun and entertaining experience. St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center instructor Cindy DuBois has been researching genealogy for more than 30 years and understands the importance of family history and legacy. She knows it’s difficult to get started and will take you step-by-step in discovering your ancestral heritage.

Family Locator Services Program Initiated in St. Peters to Assist Residents with Dementia

  St. Peters, Missouri City officials developed a program to assist residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related illnesses. The program, St. Peters Family Locator Service, aims to further protect the safety of St. Peters’ residents with dementia.

St. Peters Reminds Residents to Ask for City-Issued Credentials from Solicitors

This time of year we often hear of scam artists going door-to-door to sell products or services that may not exist. Although many solicitors are from legitimate organizations or businesses, some are not. The City of St. Peters reminds residents that if anyone comes to your door trying to sell you something or to take orders for future delivery, to make sure the person has a current City of St. Peters Peddlers/Solicitors license.
