In Loving Memory of  “Our Gabby “

  Nelda Marie Devenport of Chesterfield, MO passed away Monday, June 15, 2009. The daughter of the late Claude O. and Grace Devenport (nee Noland). . Affectionately known as Gabby, she will be sadly missed by family and friends both in St. Louis and Branson, MO.

  Nelda was born July 22, 1931 in Cape Girardeau, MO where she was a member of Centenary Methodist Church. Following graduation from Central High School, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and then resided several years in California before moving to Branson, MO in 1980.

  She is survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Bee Eaker of Florissant, MO and Mrs. Adriana Jung of St. Peters, MO; a brother C. Nelson Devenport and wife Grace of Eureka, MO; one aunt, Mrs. Pat Devenport of Jackson, MO and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend of 29 years, Mike Wendell.

  Preceding her in death was her beloved son Derek Proffer; brother, Cline O. Devenport; and sister Lucetra Sperry.

   Nelda was interred at Forever Bellerive Cemetery.
